Upward Bound is one of eight TRIO programs. The primary goal of this TRIO program is to help high school students plan and prepare for college.

Here are some of the ways that Upward Bound programs help and support students.

• Provide instruction in mathematics, laboratory science, foreign language, English composition, and literature
• Help prepare for college entrance exams, including ACT and SAT
• Provide tutoring
• Help fill out college applications
• Provide information on post-secondary opportunities
• Offer mentoring programs
• Provide career counseling
• Help complete financial aid applications, find scholarships, and complete the FAFSA
