Academic Achievement time is 30 minutes during each school day which students use to improve their mastery of concepts in their classes. If students are behind in class, failing, or just want to improve their understanding, they will visit one of their classes during Achievement time to work with that particular teacher. Achievement represents our academic philosophy here at AUHS: that if we have struggling students, then we need to offer them immediate, intensive and meaningful help so they can excel at the level we all expect.
Enrichment opportunities also exist on campus, during this time. For students who are achieving at high levels, our teachers offer additional instruction in extracurricular areas. Students are free to attend these enrichment opportunities (if not designated for core Achievement) in order to diversify their experience here at Anderson Union High School.
