Anderson Union High School District

Eligibility: Any high school student enrolled in the Anderson Union High School District who will be a senior in the 2026-2027 school year may apply.

Term of Office: The District Student Board Member will serve for one (1) school year from August through May.

Time Requirement: The estimated time required for the District Student Board Member will be at least one evening a month to attend Regular Board meetings which are usually held on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at the Anderson Union High School Library located at 1471 Ferry St., in Anderson (or as specified). In addition, sufficient time is needed prior to the meeting to study the agenda materials and prepare a brief update of school activities to share at the meeting; and, as needed, time to attend selected committee meetings, events or workshops.

 

Initial Screening: A screening of applications and selection of finalists will be conducted and finalists will be notified promptly. Selection criteria may include the individual student’s concerns, personal traits, accomplishments, and recommendations from teacher, counselor, or administrator and application completion.
