Born and raised in Red Bluff, CA. Out of high school I spent 5 years attending San José State University getting my undergraduate degree in Geography. Over the course of those 5 years I lived and worked in San Jose, Santa Cruz, and Mountain View. A significant experience I had was as an Intern GIS Technician for the City of San José’s Department of Transportation. I managed their 67,000 light streetlight-database as they were replacing old lamps with LED lighting. My school and work experience has given me a unique perspective when it comes to what is expected of young adults as they transition to the workforce, and I hope to incorporate that into my math classes. I moved back to the North Valley to help high school students grow their understanding of math, and expand their knowledge of what is possible once they graduate.
