|ESTABLISHMENT OF POLICIES, RULES, AND REGULATIONS
The Anderson Union High School Board of Trustees and the Superintendent have established written policies, rules, and regulations of general application, governing student conduct in all schools. In addition, each principal, within his school, has established certain written rules and regulations consistent with those established by the Board and the Superintendent.
West Valley High School is committed to providing a safe and secure campus where student learning can occur. In order to guarantee all students at West Valley High School the excellent learning climate that they deserve, a school wide discipline plan has been established:
- No student will interfere with the teachers' teaching.
- No student will interfere with another student's learning.
- No student will engage in any inappropriate behavior
When students engage in inappropriate behaviors, they will be dealt with fairly and consistently using progressive discipline. Students may be subject to after school detention, in house suspension, a required parent conference, a behavior contract, suspension, referral to Shasta County Sheriff's Department, referral to site and district study teams, placement in alternative education programs, and/or expulsion form the Anderson Union High School District.
West Valley High School and the Shasta County Sheriff's Department have developed a partnership to ensure a safe school. The purpose of the partnership is to counsel students and enforce violations of the law.
